9 small changes to exercise your body!!


1. UPWARD STRETCH--keep frequently used items on the top most shelves. defies logic? it will help, as you will have to stretch frequently to reach for them. It's better if you go up on your toes as you do this. This will not only stretch the whole body but strengthen the calves

2. BE MOBILE---Remain as much active as u can .. because frequent sit and stand posture will strengthen ur legs!

3.SUCK IN--keep your abdominals tucked in at all times during the day. this will certainly contribute towards strengthening these muscles.

4. PLAY---running around the children in the park or walking the dog will improve your blood ciruculation

5.WHILE SITTING--Stretch out your legs,one at a time,to strengthen the muscles in front of the thighs. Make sure your legs are straight.

6.WEIGHT LIFTING--To strengthen the arms, the muscles of the upper body and improve the density of the bones, try to do some lifting or carrying jobs yourself. for example, lift a bucket of water,vessels, try washing, shifting furniture, making beds, lift a baby. You must take care of the correct posture during all these activities. there should be least stress on the spine or any other weight-bearing joint such as hips, knees or ankles.

7.A DOSE OF SUNLIGHT---Sun yourself to absorb small but invaluable packets of vitamin D to maintain healthy bones. staying indoors gives an unhealthy pallor to the skin and sunlight and fresh air can work wonders.

8.EXERCISE YOUR EYES---Lit the room properly at the time of reading, sewing or watching tv. Exercise the eyes at least once a day by moving the pupils to the right , left and up and down at least eight time each. Close the eyes and give them rest for atleast five minutes in a day.

9.BACK UP--Finally ,stretch your back at least three to four times in a day by holding on to a pillar or a heavy piece of furniture.
