Whether you are the manager of a large office or a home business, the stress of the day takes a toll on you. Follow these simple tricks to stay calm throughout a busy day.
- Before jumping out of bed when the alarm sounds, lie flat on your back and take a few deep breaths. Do some easy arm and leg stretches and gently roll out of the bed.
- Motivate yourself with positive thoughts. Think.... "Today, I'm strong and calm and ready for life." you might even want to say this aloud or make up your own little song.
- Listen to relaxing music during the day.
- Take time to show your love and appreciation to friends and cherish your family. Hug a child, extend a friendly greeting to a neighbour or share a pleasant memory with an old friend. Play with your pet for a few minutes. Loved ones and furry friends are sure to lower your stress level.
- Remember to take an absolute break. Stop everything you are doing and enjoy a cup of tea or juice, and a cookie or piece of fruit. Leave you desk or work area for few minutes to relax.
Be sure to include reading as a way to break from duties and everybody functions. Hopefully you'll find wasy to liberate your mind and renew your spirit. Focus is imperative to a successful career. It is essential, too, that you maintain a healthy balance connecting your business and personal life. Be a success in both roles by learning to unwind, slow down and relax.
